Projects Block

Each spring the teachers and students of High Mowing engage in the special learning experience of Projects Block, when supervised groups of students travel abroad, engage in a community service block, learn the skills of cinematography on campus, practice meditation at a Buddhist retreat, or any of a variety of other educational activities. Teachers, in consultation with students and parents, select a subject or a destination and design a project. Students then choose a project that interests them.. In the coming year Projects Block will occur the first two weeks of May. Planning will be done in the fall and projects will be announced prior to Christmas vacation. Students may sign up soon after their return to school in January. There are additional charges to cover the costs of the projects.
