Eurythmy
Elective class open to all students
How can we enact a poem? How can we speak with our whole body? Can our imagination become visible to others? Words are powerful, as we know. Not only do words move us: to action, to sorrow or delight - they themselves are in motion, have shape and dynamics. In eurythmy, an art of movement that brings language into the realm of dance, we learn gestures for the sounds of speech, and choreograph poetry, story and drama. Our sources of inspiration include writings from contemporary authors and traditional cultures as well as original student work.
