This was the quote I chose to represent myself, as a graduating senior, in the High Mowing School yearbook of 1970. Now, in my role as a creative teacher, I find it an even more apt representation of my outlook and philosophy. In my own artwork, as in teaching, the idea is to keep your eyes open for those little doors leading to the secret garden in each of us, to recognize and celebrate the dynamic luminosity in ourselves and in one another.
