International Admissions

High Mowing welcomes international students!

Students from other countries are warmly welcome at High Mowing School. We have  educated students from many countries including students in recent years from Canada, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, France and Korea.

English Requirements: High Mowing does not require TOEFL or SLEP testing. However, in order to succeed at High Mowing, a basic working level of English comprenhension (written and oral) is required. English teacher references are required and applicants are also interviewed in person or by telephone by the Director of Admissions and a High Mowing faculty member.

High Mowing offers English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring, for which a fee is charged. ESL is required for international students seeking credit toward a high school degree, unless the student is determined to be proficient in English.

In some cases, an international student may be accepted to attend High Mowing for a cultural exchange for a sememster, without the expectation of earning credit. In such an instance, ESL would be optional.

Application: To apply for admission, please download the Admissions Materials, complete the forms and return them to High Mowing School.

Admissions Decision: If your application is completed by February 15, our decision will be announced to you by March 10. Applications for admission received after mid-February are welcome and will be considered on a space-available basis. Once your application is complete, you may expect to receive a decision within two weeks.

Student Visa: If you are accepted at High Mowing School and choose to come, we will send an "I-20" student visa form to you that will allow you to apply for a student visa.

If you have questions about our admission requirements, our school, our programs, or our students, please contact us.

Thank you for your interest--we look forward to hearing from you.
