Idunn, keeper of the golden apples that provide the Gods with eternal youth, is kidnapped. The Gods begin to age and eventually find out that it is all the fault of Loki, that mercurial God of tricksters and thieves. Much as they would like to punish him they can't as they need his knowledge and cunning to win her back. One of the great stories of Norse mythology, played with masks, in eurythmy, theatre and music. The Sussex sculptor Andrew Horsfall was commissioned to create the masks. For ages 6 to 12 lasting approximately 45 minutes. Music by Paul Cleaver and directed by Philip Beaven. |
