EnVision

a collusion of image, music and movement

The latest production of Moving Word Theatre, EnVision, explores the combination of projected images with movement to music. The piece is founded in eurythmy, but combines elements of theatre, dance, live music and multimedia together to create a new visually stimulating style of performance.

How can the frozen image be released into movement? What relationship can we find between music, movement and the painted image in performance? How can the moving image move into, be freed into, the living movement and vice versa?

During the one hour performance, the four performers embark on a journey through the ever lasting images of da Vinci, Blake and Kandinsky with the music of the 3rd Cello Sonata by Benjamin Britten to discover what is universal about the combined power of image and text.
