The Speaking Landscape
20th April to 26th June 2009
Entering into a landscape we can discover stories that lie enfolded within it. The history, the interrelationships of nature and environment, stories that are provoked in us by what we see, hear and smell, are all woven together to create an outdoor spectacle.
Working with all we have learnt throughout the year, we will create a performance by way of a journey through the landscape. It will be performed over two weeks to the local community, and for those interested we may take it to Austria and Sweden to be re-created in a new landscape.
There will also be visits to theatrical events at the Brighton Festival, probably the most exciting festival of performance in the world!.
Others are welcome to join this project as long as they have some experience of collaborative performance. Please contact the course director for more information.
